There are three state parks in this section of the Eastern Shore.
Nearby destinations include Assateague Island, Rehoboth Beach and Cape May.
All of the towns will provide basic services and entertainment. For major service needs, try the area near the bay bridge or across the bridge in Annapolis.

Maryland’s Eastern Shore is also part of the Delmarva Peninsula. This destinations concentrates on the area bordering the Chesapeake Bay opposite Baltimore and Washington DC.
The Eastern Shore is a region of quaint, historic towns that revolve around fishing, agriculture and tourism. Chestertown, Rock Hall, St. Michaels and Cambridge, in particular, are worth exploring.
Blue crabs are a mainstay of the local fishing industry. These small crustaceans are the primary ingredient in Maryland’s famous crab cakes. So be sure to give them a try.
This destination can easily support a week of activity, but can also be a great long-weekend getaway.
