Highlights

Rehoboth Beach is a great example of the classic Eastern U.S. beach and boardwalk. Unlike many other eastern beaches, it has so far avoided including large numbers of tourist-trap venues and attractions. There are also some nearby historic venues and places to camp.

The city of Rehoboth Beach does have many of the same shops in the beach-adjacent shopping area. At the same town, it also has some decent restaurants and family-friendly entertainment away from the boardwalk.

While in the area, also check out the World War II defenses along the coast, the old lifesaving station and the lighthouses near Lewes.
