Highlights
East of Pittsburg, the western slope of the Allegheny Mountains provide a region with a multitude of attractions. Its low mountains, scenic vistas, waterfalls, caverns and lakes provide opportunities for exploration. There are also a pair of national sites to memorialize the victims of the Johnstown flood and the engineering marvel of the Allegheny Portage Railroad.
This area offers enough to keep you busy for more than a week or it can be a stop along the way.
