Highlights

Panama City is primarily a coastal destination and beaches are a primary attraction for visitors. A small industry in ancellory entertainment has emerged to capitalize on the tourist industry. Numerous amusement parks, restaurants and entertainment districts are among these.

Parallel to this are some options that rely on nature. Chief among these are snorkeling and diving opportunities, which are available to a range of abilities. In addition, there are less developed areas like estuaries, lagoons and St. Andrew State Park that offer a chance to see some of the local wildlife.

So Panama City has options available to a range of ages that don’t include the beach. It is a destination that can keep you active and entertained for a week or a season.
