The City of Chihuahua is the state capital with a population of about one million. It is considered one of the more liveable cities in Mexico along with Monterrey and Mexico City. Chihuahua has a rich history and visitors should be sure to check out some of many historical buildings and museums.

The city is close to several significant geological features and parks. The Coyame Caverns were carved out by moving water of five-million years. Guided tours lead visitors through 15 cave rooms and galleries.

Cumbres de Majalca National Park is part of the Sierra de Majalca mountain range. It is known for its extraordinary rock formations and is one of the only places in Mexico with a population of black bear. Cougar, white-tail dear, bobcat and coyote are among the park’s other large mammals.
