There are five campgrounds inside the park with a range of accessories.
Saskatoon is the nearest other destination 120 miles (200 km) south of the park.
Basic services and entertainment options will be available in the hamlet of Waskesiu Lake. The city of Prince Albert, the nearest metropolitan area, is about 50 miles (80 km) south of the park.
Highlights
Prince Albert National Park is at the southern edge or Saskatchewan’s boreal region in the Waskesiu Hills. It is part of a densely forested region that is also known for its lakes.
The area in and around the park is rich with wildlife. Large mammals include elk, moose, white tailed deer, black bear, wolves and a small herd of woodland buffalo.
The park offers opportunities for hiking, paddling, swimming, fishing and camping. Watching birds and other wildlife are other possibilites.
