Highlights

Gros Morne National Park is the second largest park in Eastern Canada. Stretching out along the Gulf of Saint Lawrence it is a geologically diverse region. This includes coastline, fjords, part of the Long Range Mountains and desert-like tablelands.

The park preserves habitat for a variety of wildlife. Large mammals include moose, black bears, caribou and lynx. Among the aquatic species are dolphins, porpoises, harbor seals and a variety of whales.

The park can be explored via the roadways, but hiking or paddling will connect visitors with any number of high payoff sights.

This really is a must-see destination when visiting Newfoundland.
