Highlights

Missoula is the second most populous city in Montana, but don’t let that fool you. The downtown and surrounding neighborhoods have a distinct small-town charm. The city is also at the center of numerous points of interest and offers access to a wide variety of outdoor adventures.

Whether wandering through the downtown or exploring the peaks, valleys and waterfalls of the nearby Rattlesnake National Recreation Area, Missoula offers something for everyone.

Some nearby historic sites include the Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site and Big Hole National Battlefield. Also just a short drive from town are the National Bison Range and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

Missoula is more than an overnight stop. It is a destination that calls for at least a few days to fully explore.
