Planning Tips

  1. There are a numerous campground options in this area, but I am a fan of the Hoosier National Forest, which offers a couple options.

  2. Evansville is the largest municipality in the region and it will contain all of the entertainment and service options you may require.

Highlights

The southwest corner is my favorite part of the Hoosier State. The national forest, Ohio River and numerous historic attractions are only part of the draw. The rolling, forested hills also make it the most geographically diverse section of Indiana.

Since it is roughly equidistant from St. Louis, Louisville and Nashville, this corner of Indiana is a great destination or a perfect stop along the way.
