Highlights

Whiskeytown Lake is at the center of this recreation area, but Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is more than water. Rugged mountains, waterfalls and historic goldrush points of interest are a large part of this area’s draw. Recreational opportunities include, hiking, boating, fishing, camping and panning for gold.
