Planning Tips

  1. There is no shortage of campgrounds to chose from. I was here in early spring and didn’t need electricity, but note the summer temperatures. You might want air conditioning.

  2. I did not camp in this area, but made it a day trip from another destination. I would do it differently next time, because there is so much to see and do in this part of Arkansas.

  3. There are many urban centers nearby for services or entertainment. Bentonville or Fort Smith in the north and south and don’t forget Eureka Springs.

Highlights

This area sort of took me by surprise. Friends recommended a couple of different point of interest. As often happens, I then started looking at the region as a whole.
